Friends of Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge have invited JC Cowell to answer all of your questions about bees and beekeeping. He will bring a glass beehive with live bees to give everyone an insight into how bees work together to grow a thriving colony and how people benefit. They not only create delicious honey and other products, but are an essential pollinator to many of the foods we eat.
Mr. Cowell is a local beekeeper and mentor with 20 years of experience managing up to 150 honey bee colonies in a dozen apiaries (bee yards) across Sussex County. The program is free and will be held indoors.
