Friends of Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge invite members and the general public to attend their annual meeting. Refuge Specialist, Lachlin Robertson will present a program on the work being done in the refuge to maintain and restore important forest habitat. He will explain his new project of growing white cedar trees for the bog in the refuge. Audience members can help to plant a cutting at the meeting that will grow into a tree to be planted in the bog.
This is an opportunity to ask about the work being done in the refuge, the wildlife, volunteer possibilities, and future plans. Friends will provide refreshments.
